The Issac Meier Homestead,
Myerstown, PA
This large limestone house, once part of a plantation,
is located on South College Street in Myerstown. It was built by Valentine
Herclerode circa 1740-1750. Isaac Meier, son-in-law of Herclerode,
bought the holdings in 1758 and laid out the town in 1768. The property
is owned by the borough of Myerstown and leased to the Historic Preservation
Trust of Lebanon County. In 1970 a committee was appointed, restoration
began and is still in progress. The house is listed on the National
Register of Historic Landmarks as well as on the Pennsylvania Historic
Register. Tours are welcome and appointments can be made by calling
